HEAS Talk with Alexandrine Cheronet

We are looking forward to welcoming Alexandrine Cheronet, Publishing Director for Springer Journals in Chemistry, Earth and Environmental Sciences to Vienna for a HEAS Talk on Scientific Publishing. The talk will take place in SR 5.1 in the UBB on the 29th April at 10:30 CEST.

She will address 2 key themes:

1/ What is the mission of scientific publishing and its role for researchers? Who are the reliable publishers, and why should we stay away from the so-called “predatory” journals?

2/ How to prepare your manuscript to publish in an international scientific journal?

And if time allows:

3/ What are the different jobs in scientific publishing that you can do with a scientific academic background if you wish to reorient yourself after a PhD or postdoc?
