The Department of Evolutionary Anthroplogy held a retirement event for our dear colleagues Gerhard Weber and Harald Wilfing on October 1st. Two invited speakers, Karen Kastenhofer (Institute for Technological Assessment, ÖAW) and Philipp Gunz (Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropolgy), gave wonderful presentations on their work and early career steps with Harald and Gerhard respectively. Overall, it was a warm and memorable celebration honoring years of dedication to our department and exceptional academic achievements. Colleagues, friends, and family gathered to share stories on the history of our department and to wish the retirees all the best for their new life chapter.
